A 26-year member of the Edmonton Police Service, Detective Stewart currently works in the High Risk Offender Section on the six-member High-risk Enforcement and Apprehension Team (or HEAT). HEAT is responsible for hunting or conducting surveillance on identified high risk offenders in the city. Prior to becoming part of the HEAT team in 2002, Detective Stewart worked in the Sexual Assault Section of the EPS for four and a half years. His previous work experiences include seven months in homicide and several stints in Child Abuse. Detective Stewart has also worked as a dog handler in the K9 unit, a beat officer on Edmonton's 96th street and a uniform patrol officer in the Downtown, South and North Divisions.
