Steven Bilodeau has been a Crown Prosecutor with Alberta Justice's Criminal Justice Division since 1990. In 2003 he became the first prosecutor in Canada to exclusively work with computer and Internet crime. As Technology and Internet Crimes Coordinator, Bilodeau is part of the Special Prosecutions Branch in Edmonton. In addition to prosecuting cases throughout the province, he also provides assistance and advice to investigators and other prosecutors on cases involving computer crime, and advises the department's executive management on technology- and cybercrime-related issues. In 2002 the Minister of Justice awarded Bilodeau the Award of Excellence, and in 2005 he was awarded the Alberta Centennial Medal for his contributions to the Province.
